Saving Sky by Diane Stanley

Sky's family does not own a TV or a computer.  They like to sit outside and send their blessings to the stars.  She had never been to a restaurant or a mall or met another child her age until she was five.  Why?  Sky's parents wanted to shelter her from the world.  This world, New Mexico, in the not distant future, is filled with pain and fear.  Terrorist attacks are frequent and deadly.  Everyone lives on high alert, wary of the next threat.  Sky feels safe at her family's farm in New Mexico, but she mourns the victims of the attacks.  When terrorists begin to target electric grids and energy sources, she knows her world is going to change, but she doesn't know how much.  People have turned against people of Arab descent, because they are scared they might be responsible for the next terrorist threat.  How far will Sky go to help another kid?  Find out in Saving Sky by Diane Stanley.
